You park at the RC flying field, unload your aircraft, and then spend the next hour standing. The pilot stands behind the flight line. The spotter stands nearby. Family members and club friends gather around the truck bed.
Meanwhile, your batteries, transmitter, monitor, tools, and flight log are scattered across the grass.
Tailbreaker changes that setup. Mount it to your truck or SUV, set it up in under 30 seconds, and create the ultimate Adventure Hub for the field. You stay close to the action, keep a clear view of the aircraft, and use the open tailgate as your pit table.

Why standing all day gets old
An RC airplane field can be a great place to spend a fall morning. The air is cool, the grass is often firm, and calm weather can make flying enjoyable.
But the field setup has one big problem: there is rarely a good place to sit.
Folding chairs can be bulky. Their legs may sink into soft grass or wobble on uneven ground. A cooler lid works for a few minutes, but it is not a comfortable long-term solution. Carrying a chair from the parking area to the flight line is another chore nobody wants.
For drone piloting, the problem can last even longer. An FPV drone pilot may move between goggles, a monitor, batteries, and a flight controller while a spotter watches the airspace and field traffic.
Tailbreaker gives both people a stable, elevated place to sit near the action. You do not have to give up your place at the flight line or haul extra furniture across the field.
“I’ve got a bad back, so sitting on a cooler or a flimsy camp chair doesn’t cut it anymore.”
Joey D., Tailbreaker customer
Your open tailgate becomes the pit table
The biggest RC-specific advantage is simple: the tailgate stays open and fully usable while the seating system is mounted.
That turns your truck into a mobile pit area and launch-prep station. Keep these items within reach:
- Radio transmitters
- Flight batteries
- Chargers
- Tools and spare parts
- A monitor or FPV goggles
- Propellers and hardware
- A flight log
- Water and snacks
- A cooler
You can use the tailgate as a work surface for battery swaps, transmitter setup, small repairs, and pre-flight checks. Nothing blocks the truck bed, and you do not need to spread your gear across wet grass or dirt.
The tailgate is a launch-prep surface, not a launch platform for the aircraft. Always launch and land from your club’s approved area.

What makes Tailbreaker different?
The Tailbreaker® 360°/180° Hitch-Mounted Dual Seating System uses your vehicle’s steel frame instead of folding-chair legs.
The main black square-steel yoke slips into the standard 2-inch hitch receiver. The two black square-steel swing arms are permanently attached to that short yoke bar right next to the receiver. Each arm rotates independently through 180 degrees and has two height settings.
Two identical light gray molded polymer seating positions pop onto the arms. Each position swivels 360 degrees on its own axis.
These are two completely independent seating positions. They are not a bench, not a connected unit, and not two positions mounted separately to the hitch.
That design gives the pilot and spotter room to choose their own direction. One person can face the aircraft while the other watches a screen or scans the field.
It is truck hitch seating built for real field use, not another chair to drag around.
Four RC field configurations
The independent swing arms and 360-degree swivel let you change the setup as the activity changes.
1. Swing both positions toward the field
Swing the arms all the way back to face the runway and flight area. This is the best position for tracking an RC airplane through a full battery pack.
You get a raised sight line from the vehicle instead of craning your neck while standing. You are also up out of wet grass, dirt, mud, fire ants, and stickers.
The truck stays behind you, with your equipment organized on the open tailgate.
2. Swing to the side for pilot and spotter work
Move the two independent arms to the side for face-to-face conversation.
This works well when a pilot and spotter need to discuss the wind, flight path, battery level, or next maneuver. It is also useful when an instructor is working with a student.
Because the positions move independently, they do not have to point in the same direction. One person can keep watching the aircraft while the other checks a monitor or talks through the next step.
3. Swing inward toward the tailgate
Turn the seating positions inward when you need to work at the truck.
This is the practical setup for:
- Changing batteries
- Repairing landing gear
- Checking control surfaces
- Setting up a transmitter
- Charging equipment
- Wiping down props
- Recording flight notes
The tailgate remains open and clear. You can reach your gear without standing up every few minutes.
That makes Tailbreaker more than an adventure truck accessory. It becomes your RC pit station, work surface, and comfortable base camp in one setup.
4. Use Table Mode
One seating position can fold flat with the cup holders accessible. The other position can remain upright.
Use Table Mode for a phone, drink, flight log, or small field item. It is also handy when one person wants to keep working while the other takes a break.
Table Mode is not a separate external table accessory. It is a built-in way to use the Tailbreaker system while keeping the tailgate open.
Stable support on grass, gravel, and dirt
A folding chair depends on four legs staying balanced. That can be a problem on soft grass, gravel, uneven dirt, or a mowed club field.
Tailbreaker is anchored to the vehicle’s steel frame through the 2-inch hitch receiver. Each seating position supports up to 275 pounds.
That means no chair legs sinking into the grass and no cooler lid shifting under you. The black heavy-duty square-steel frame gives you stable support while you watch the field, work at the tailgate, or talk with another pilot.
Always park on a safe surface, check the hitch connection, and use the system within its rated capacity.
Under-30-second setup
RC pilots want to fly, not assemble furniture.
Tailbreaker mounts to your hitch in under 30 seconds using the quick-locking knob. No additional tools are needed.
The basic setup is simple:
- Slip the main yoke into the standard 2-inch receiver.
- Secure it with the quick-locking knob.
- Swing the two independent arms into position.
- Choose one of the two height settings.
- Swivel the light gray molded polymer seating positions toward the field or tailgate.
When the flying day is over, the system folds clamshell flat. The swing arms fold parallel to the main yoke for compact storage, and the complete system packs into the premium branded carrying bag.
Keep it in the truck bed between flying sessions, ready for the next RC airplane field, drone field, or road trip.
Built for RC cars and drone field days too
The same setup works when the aircraft stay home.
For a long RC car or rock-crawler bash session, use the open tailgate as a repair bench. Keep spare tires, tools, batteries, chargers, and parts within reach. One person can monitor the course while the other works on the next run.

For drone piloting, use the tailgate as a gear station for batteries, goggles, monitors, and prop tools. The pilot and spotter can face different directions while staying close to the vehicle.

Tailbreaker also works with compatible trucks, SUVs, Jeeps, UTVs, and ATVs that have a standard 2-inch hitch receiver.

Field safety
Keep the field safe and follow your club’s posted rules.
- Fly within visual line of sight.
- Stay behind the designated flight line or at the approved pilot stations.
- Never fly behind the flight line or over spectators, pits, or parking areas.
- Announce takeoffs and landings.
- Use a spotter, especially for FPV flying or when the field is busy.
- Keep the pit area tidy and propellers clear of people.
- Follow your club’s rules and the AMA Safety Code.
- For recreational drone flying, pass the free TRUST test and carry proof of completion.
- Register at FAA DroneZone if the aircraft is 250 grams or more, and mark the registration number on the aircraft.
- Stay at or below 400 feet in uncontrolled airspace.
- Get authorization through LAANC in controlled airspace.
- Check B4UFLY before flying.
- Never fly or operate from the seating system while the vehicle is moving.
Tailbreaker is a place to sit at the field. It is not a launch platform, stand, or operating position for an aircraft.
